A CNC Lathe Machine Shop in Japan You Can Talk To in English

The Take Parts Factory building in Aichi, Japan, with the company logo on its large doors

If you've looked for a CNC lathe machine shop in Japan before, this may sound familiar. You find a shop that looks right. Good machines, good work. Then the website is only in Japanese, or the only way in is a phone number, and you're not sure anyone on the other end speaks English. So you move on.

We understand why. English isn't spoken much in Japanese factories, and plenty of small shops here have never had a customer from abroad. It's normal to assume a Japanese machine shop won't be able to talk with you.

You can talk with us, though. Write to us in English at info@takepartsfactory.com and we'll answer in English. Please don't hesitate. If you're not sure we can make your part, or you just have a question before you send a drawing, ask anyway. We're happy to hear from you.

What we do

We're Take Parts Factory, an NC lathe shop in Aichi, Japan. "NC lathe" is simply what the Japanese industry calls a CNC lathe. It's the same machine. We started turning parts here in 2006, and became Take Parts Factory Co., Ltd. in 2010.

Most of what we make is round: Ø10 to 460 mm, up to 2000 mm long, with a dimensional tolerance of 0.001 mm. If you need one piece, we'll make one piece. If you need a production run, we do that too, and we can take a part from prototype into volume.

We've been cutting difficult materials for more than 25 years. Titanium, Inconel 718 and 625, Hastelloy C-276 and C-22, Incoloy, Kovar and molybdenum are regular work for us, along with stainless steel, aluminum, copper and brass. One job we're proud of: about 15 parts for the LE-9 engine of JAXA's H3 rocket.

Our machines are mostly OKUMA. The main one is a MULTUS B300IIW, a simultaneous 5-axis multitasking lathe that turns and mills a complex part in a single chucking. Long and large-diameter parts go on an LB4000EXII MYC. You can see everything on our equipment page.

The part we care about most

For us, a good part starts with the program. We use CAD/CAM, and we also write code by hand. Over the years we've built our own database from cutting hard materials, and we lean on it to decide how to machine each part and which tools to use.

The shop floor is temperature controlled, and so is our measuring room.

When you write to us

It helps if you can send your drawing, the material and the quantity. And tell us what matters most to you. Maybe it's accuracy, maybe it's lead time, or maybe you want to move a part from another process over to lathe work. If you don't have everything yet, that's fine. Send what you have and we'll go from there.

We work weekdays, 9:00 to 18:00 Japan time. For most of the US, our morning is your evening of the day before.

Our factory is at 136 Sawakibara, Ina-cho, Toyokawa, Aichi.

Looking forward to hearing from you: info@takepartsfactory.com.
